APS Gifted and Talented Test Information

Universal Screening for 2nd Graders -
non-verbal ability test and CogAT online screening

Two types of cognitive assessments used in APS are the Naglieri Non-verbal Ability Test-Second Edition, referred to as the NNAT2, and the Cognitive Abilities Test, referred to as the CogAT.
CogAT is an online testing platform, and  the Naglieri is administered by paper-pencil.
Like all norm-referenced assessments, training for correct and ethical administration occurs each year for all test administrators.

The testing window for the 2nd grade screening for the 2017-18 school year is Sept. 25-Oct. 27.
